A home away from home for the outcasts, the marginalised and misunderstood misfits among us, ANARKISS, founded in 2024 by queer writer Lisa Fouweather, is an art and literary publication committed to publishing all the things that matter in a society gone wrong.

Our mission is to shine a light on the people, movements, and stories that are dismantling injustice and reimagining a more equitable world.

Join us as we build a future where justice isn’t a dream, but a shared reality.

ANARKISS operates as a contributor-driven publishing platform. Each project begins with a shared theme and unfolds through collective participation, editorial exchange, and material experimentation. We exist outside of institutional and commercial pressures.

Whether you’re a poet or a photographer, a short story writer or a graphic designer, through our open submission policy (international applicants welcome!), we provide artists with a platform through which they can see their work in print.

1. The Zine Program

  • Bi-monthly collaborative issues
  • Open calls + invited contributors

2. Contributor Editions

  • Limited-run publications by individual contributors
  • Published under the ANARKISS imprint
  • Providing editorial support, a collaborative framework, and distribution opportunities

Because Anarchism isn’t only rage; it’s also care, love, and creation.

A name for the tension between breaking and blooming, ANARKISS serves as a reminder to us all that resistance can be tender without losing its teeth, and that to imagine otherwise is already to rebel.

Art as protest, poems as barricades, bodies as manifestos. Words that unbuild the world and start again. ANARKISS is the invitation—come closer, unlearn, and remake.

We’re now also publishing indiviudal artists under the ANARKISS imprint!

There is a £5 submission fee (goes directly toward printing).
If selected, you’ll receive:
– 1 free copy
– 60% of all sales revenue
– Full editorial support & guidance

We will handle all printing and distribution, and place your work in physical bookstores across the UK.

This is collaborative publishing, not pay-to-play.
